grigorichordHey guys, so basically Maka can see souls using a skill called soul perception.
If you're okay with her being able to see your character's soul, please post here.
Essentially Maka can see the size, shape, and color regarding the physical appearance of a soul. Most souls are round, but some have traits that may resemble the appearance of the person. For example, a person with a symbol on their face would probably have the symbol on their soul. They're not incredibly detailed though, and they only have a few defining features.
The size is determined by level of power, and also the size may change while a character is using a powerful attack of some kind. Having an average sized soul does not mean the character is average by any means. Some of the characters who are gods in the series have a soul that appears to be about the size of two fists while they are at rest, however when they power up or are in combat, the soul grows to encompass their entire body.
The other thing that Maka can determine using Soul Perception is the defining personality traits of a character. For example, from looking at her soul another character was able to define Maka as serious and hardworking. Just a few sentences, or if you'd like you can use the format below. Date: 2010-06-02 03:47 am (UTC)Namely, "Helion" basically amounts to two souls fused together, so I have no idea how it would be seen, whether I should describe each of the two separately, or try to establish a "fused" soul, mixing aspects of the two. Uh, opinions? Suggestions?

Defining Personality Traits: Emotional, Energetic, Excitable, Helpful
Character Name: Despair (Helion's sword)
Color of soul: Yellow
Size and shape of soul: Large, but only features are crying eyes.
Defining Personality Traits: Depressed, Hopeless, Hungry, Psychotic
Additional Notes: Power levels haven't been decided on yet, so for the time being, just assume that Despair's soul is significantly larger than Helion's. When Helion's in charge, her soul appears to be "pasted on" Despair. When Despair's in charge, Helion's soul outright vanishes.
Tell me if this is no good.

Date: 2010-08-27 01:44 am (UTC)Helion's a 7.5 on the power levels, but most of that's Despair. It would be a size 7.5, while Helion will only look like a 4.0. Also, adjusting Helion's "soul" to better match my intensive character analysis.
Defining character traits: Emotionless, Dutiful, Childish, and... is there a proper term for "desiring praise"?
But yeah, character analysis turned up a very different definition. It's a good thing I figured it out before she actually met anyone with that sort of ability, huh?
